I’ve been sitting with this moment for a while now. The moment where I finally say it out loud, in writing, on a space that’s mine:

If you’re new here–hi! I’m Kaylee, the heart behind Kaylee Santino Photography. I’m a wife, a mama, a nurse by trade and a storyteller at heart. Photography started as a creative outlet for me long before it became a business. It was a way to slow down, to notice the quiet-in between moments, and to hold onto the seasons that move too quickly (especially the way by newborn baby boy has grown before my eyes).
This past fall, I took a leap and turned that passion into something real. Something official. Something a little scary and very exciting.
Why Photography?
I believe the most meaningful images aren’t perfectly posed–they’re felt. The way your child reaches for your hand (and boy am I glad I captured these because my babies aren’t quite as small as they once were). The way your partner looks at you when you’re not watching. The laughter, the chaos, the tenderness that lives in everyday life.

This blog is where I’ll be sharing more than just pretty pictures. You’ll find stories from sessions and weddings, behind the scenes, tips for preparing for your session, reflections on motherhood and building a business from the ground up. Think of this as an extension to my work–personal, thoughtful and rooted in connection.
Looking Ahead
This first year in business has already taught me so much about trusting myself, leaning into creativity, and letting go of perfection (but we already know that was wayyyyy out the window after being a nurse and mom. No day is perfect but we sure do learn from each and every one. Every shift. Every guilty mom moment). I’m excited to continue refining my style, documenting love in all its forms, and serving families and couples who value moments over poses.
